I have wondered for awhile what my 100th blog would be about. I have even thought of writing one on reaching 100 blogs. But as with anything, I usually let things take their course. And now, the 100th entry is here.
It's like watching something happening in slow motion-- the letting go. Simultaneously and without advice, people are coming to a realization.
A year ago, these same people were all fired up inside. The future is bright, the path is certain. They look at those who were leaving as short-sighted, loose leaves.
But now the questions have come.
Did they who left see farther ahead than those who stayed, like they did? Did they get sold on an idea and developed tunnel vision? Were they dazzled by the brilliance which they now feel blinded them? Was the heart they thought they saw actually an ego in disguise?
It's like watching a pivotal scene in a Martin Scorsese film. The fingers are letting go, one digit at a time in an almost-painful slow motion. The windows of hearts are shutting one by one. Eyes opening, irises widening as if seeing something surprising and frightening. Lips moving to open and say the words, "thank you but i'm done".
