Nope, don't look at me for excitement. I am not one of those who are totally apathetic about the political situation of this country, but, sad to say, I have become so cynical about it, I didn't even bother to keep tabs of the performance of the current officials.
The two-week campaign period looked to me just a lie-all-you-want period, a much shorter one compared to the filthy campaign period which immediately preceded it. Yes, I'm talking about the national elections.
Yes, Noynoy won. And yes, I was in disgust almost the whole time the counting was going on. And without any proof, I will tell you that I believe he screwed Mar Roxas big time. And if it's possible, I was more in disgust after Binay was announced the VP.
The country has gone to the dogs. It's filthy business. People in power screwing up the rest of us who, for a price of one free merienda sells our future, our children, our money, our dignity and anything else which should have been of value to us.
A few months back, I had to fight the urge to vomit every time i saw this tarp of the 3rd De Venecia saying "Merong paninindigan" or some same crap. I pass by it every time i go home so imagine what I had to endure for a prolonged period.
So anyway, going back to the upcoming barangay elections, i will still be at the polls, but mostly because this is a family exercise, one i can't get out of. What will i write on the ballot? Nothing. I will block it out so that no one else can use it. but I certainly will not elect anyone. I think they're all liars and selfish people. You can vote for one or the other and you'd still be screwed. It's just a question of who will do that to you.
